One example from the Food and Beverage Industry was an emerging play in the US by an international supermarket. The InsightTM platform has captured numerous reports about Lidl & Schwarz Stiftung & Co. KG - a German supermarket chain with headquarters in Neckarsulm, Germany and connected the news (digital footprints) starting from June 2016 when the company first announced that it is "planning to invade the United States, and it has its sights set on Bluffton".
Lidl plans to earn $8.8B in revenues by 2023 from the US. Through data from 38 digital footprints, we determined the locations where Lidl plans to open its grocery stores. Each of the location is a signal to our client to determine its weaknesses that allows Lidl to gain a foothold. Tracking data shows that Lidl prefers to build grocery stores that are 36,000 square-foot in size, with the first store to open in Texas in 2018. An internal report from a sales team member in Texas confirms the land purchase, and ongoing construction, corroborating the news. Moreover, by using an effortless process to route information to the Nowigence platform, this internal information is securely added to the database where it becomes the 39th footprint.
